Computer freezes when fridge starts

Hi !
About a year ago I upgraded my GPU. Ever since, whenever the fridge “turns on”, my computer freezes for a brief moment. Monitor looses its source, all USB devices stop working. Sometimes this lasts 2 seconds, sometimes 30 but no more.
I am afraid this is damaging my computer. Now more than ever, because it has happened 3 times this week while playing Cyberpunk, but the computer doesn’t recover from the freeze and I have to hard reboot.
Any thoughts on what is causing this, and what I should do ?

Asus P8Z77-V LX2
intel core i5 3570k 3.40ghz
ASUS GeForce GTX 1660 PH-GTX1660-O6G 6 Go GDDR5
PSU : Antec 620c
16GB Ram

Have you tried a different socket?

This would help with the system before it becomes if not more damaged.

as a trial, move the PC to another power circuit in the house.
you may get lucky and be able to use an extension lead and use another power point in the same room if there is one, but unless you know the circuit diagram for the house and how each circuit breaker in the mains distribution panel and where it goes to in the house, it’ll just be blind luck.

going to another room at the opposite side of the house will give you the best chance of using a different circuit to the fridge.

but yeah, a UPS battery system would be even better.
in those few seconds the fridge causes a power drop, the UPS will kick in so the PC should be none the wiser.
