    PC Underperforming

PC SPECS Motherboard: Asus ROG MAXIMUS XII Formula
    RAM: 32 GB
    GPU: 2080 Super
    CPU: I9-10900k
    PSU: 1000W
    Benchmark Results
I did a PC Benchmark after both my friend with a much “worse” PC than mine and a friend with an identical PC were both getting more frames than me in multiple games with the same settings. The results came up showing my CPU is performing in the 15th percentile when my buddy with the same CPU is performing in the 90th percentile. Same GPU performance percentile. My CPU and PC in general is only about 5 months old so it’s really worrying me that something with my PC is screwed up. I’m pretty sure everything is hooked up properly. Would I know if my CPU is bad? It runs games pretty well but in some it just way underperforms. Is there faulty hardware or is this normal? Thank You.

Ask the people you bought it from.
You don’t want to mess about why you have warranty

I was the one who built it. Everything seems to work fine in terms of hardware and temps. It’s just really weird that I’m being outperformed by everyone I play with despite have a much better PC.

and when comparing yours with the other PC’s, are you comparing apples with apples.
yes - they may have the same specs, but are both rigs in the same house, on the same network, running the same set of background processes and services?

but FPS rates are just the worst thing ever to iron out, there are many potential causes.
