I don’t want to hear the people saying why did you do this or that I just want help.
I undervolted my cpu in my bios settings and being dumb I set it to 1, I am not sure whether this is too low or not. Following that my pc wont POST and the white VGA led light is on but all rgb works, fans work, gpu fans spin up but eventually stop after a few seconds, I honestly didn’t think undervolting could damage anything. After I seen the issue I did what most do, Google away and try the best solutions you find. I have reset cmos (idk if it reset or not i guess not bc no post) I used the jumpers and I tried it taking the CMOS battery out and left it for about two hours and hit the jumper but yet again nothing solved my issue, even tried both at the same time but no change, same issue. I reseated my GPU(checked all cables) even tried my extra PCI slot and got the same results. Following that I reseated my RAM(even tried with only one stick in no change) I then reseated my m.2 drive nothing seems to work for me and I am not sure why. I then went to my last resort and removed my cooler to check my cpu and see if there had been any damage to it but all pins looked good from what I could tell.
I also wanna note that when I built my PC about a year ago I did the rookie builders mistake and somehow bent my CPU pins. I have steady hands and did extensive research and seen I can bend them back using a mechanical pencil and some luck and it worked. Since then I have had no issues with my pc until I undervolted the cpu in bios. Could this be a lingering effect from when I built the PC and bent pins? (checked them and they looked alright to me)
Its been a week and as every avid pc gamer knows its sickening having a $2000 PC that doesn’t POST. I have been trying every solution I come across and probably spent over 30 hours (being generous could easily be 40 hours but I lose track of time) trying to figure this stuff out and have made zero progress.
Please for the love of God someone have a solution for me it’s been two weeks and I have made no progress.
I have tried my GPU in my brothers PC and it works just fine.
Could I have a dead cpu on my hands or is it the MB?
If needed I can post images of my PC and inside of it if it’ll help.
THANKS
