Black Screen

Monitor screen turned black randomly while gaming. I turn my pc on and off and i get three beeps, then a black screen. Occasionally, it will beep once then the screen will turn on with awful resolution for a minute or so then go back to a black screen. I had this same issue 6 months ago, and replacing my graphics card seemed to temporarily fix the problem. What could be causing this and how do i fix this?

3 POST beeps normally indicates a memory or graphics card issue.

I would be removing both, wiping their circuitry, and their contacts, and their mobo slots (using a soft bristled brush).

of course, the new graphics card may have also died (but unlikely).
