My PC doesn't turn on sometimes

My computer works completely normally when it’s on, but sometimes I’ll wake up in the morning and it just doesn’t power up. This is the third time it has happened to me.

The first time, I went to my living room (because I had planned to remove more parts if they weren’t working) and used the power outlet there, removed a ram stick and it instantly turned on. I don’t think removing the ram stick did anything because I popped it back in and it was still turning on. This was more than a week ago.

The second time was yesterday. Basically, the same thing happened. I woke up to it not turning on. This time I tried removing the ram stick in my room using the same power outlet, but when I tried it didn’t power up. I tried using other slots in the same Surge Protection Outlet, but I had the same result. I also used a regular outlet in the wall, but it didn’t change anything. After that, I took it to my living room again and I don’t think I did anything, but it turned on. I brought it to my room again and connected it to the same slot in the SPO and it turned on regularly.

Now, today I’ve done everything I did both days but it hasn’t turned on. I don’t know what to do or what is causing the problem. This PC is now like a week short of being 2 years old, so I don’t think it should be an issue. Yesterday when it booted up I deactivated Turn on fast-start up, but apparently, it didn’t do anything. I would appreciate any kind of help.

    specs:

    ryzen 5 3600

    gtx 1660 super

    corsair vengeance 16gb ram 3000mhz

    msi b450 tomahawk max

    evga 500w

    Samsung 860 Evo ssd

when you say it doesn’t wake up, do you mean it was left on and isn’t waking up from sleep or hibernation mode?
or it’s been turned off (shut down) and won’t power up?

That’s it’s been shut down and won’t power up.

sounds like you have already tried this but in case not, remove the memory sticks and the graphics card.
wipe their circuit boards and contact points.
with a soft bristled brush, wipe their slots on the mobo.

put in one memory stick in one of the slots and try that, if no luck, try the other slot, if still no luck, try all that again but with the other memory stick this time. (assuming you have two sticks to make that 16GB)

that CPU doesn’t have integrated graphics, so you’ll have to reseat the GPU.

any chance you have access to another PSU to swap out to test that option?
