    ram problem? maybe....

    Hello. i dont really have an idea what is happening on my pc or ram or board,
    i have installed 1x4gb of RAM (ddr3) and the other one ram is detected one my SYSTEM and app called cpu-z, but is detects 2x4gb ram on app called AIDA64, please take a look at the photo attached.

    can anyone please help me? i cannot use all the 8gb total of my ram.

    We need more information. What is your motherboard make and model.
    You are using ecc and non ecc ram.
    SOME motherboards will mix BUT most will not.
    and your ram chips are totally out with each other beside ecc. example 1333 and 1600Mhz 64 bit and 72 bit.
    You should always try and run ram in pairs. You can buy single sticks at different times and they will work.
    But it is always best to try and buy in pairs ( I know this is not always something that can happen due to money restraints)
