Everyone keeps saying if you get a power supply in your pc that way more power thn you need then it would destroy your electric bill. Now correct me if Im wrong but Im pretty sure power suplies to output max power/more power than it needs too at all times right? So for example lets say all the components combined in your PC require 800W to run, now lets say you have a 1300W power supply, even though you have a 1300W PSU that PSU is only gonn aoutput the 800W required to operate the other hardware and not the full 1300 right? Thus in the case of electrocty usage the 1300W power supply isnt gonna be any different than if you just had a 800W power supply as far as how much power its drawing/consuming goes right?

No reputable forum would allow such nonsense to be post without someone then correcting it.
Put a 1200W PSU in a PC that will only draw a max of 300W under full load the only thing that will be getting hurt is your bank balance.
Rest assured, you will only pay for the wattage that your PC draws from the mains via your PSU.Comment

Sorry, wasn`t aware that I had to use your hypothetical 800W rather than my also hypothetical 300W example which means the exact same thing
You are welcome btwComment
