Black screen after gaming for few minutes

    Hi guys!

When I am playing with a high graphics game, after a few minutes of playing my monitor turns black, the audio stucks, and I can’t do anything but manually restart my PC. This problem happens only with high graphics game (Trackmania2020, GTA5), I have no problem with older games, or with videos, etc. When I lower the setting (800600, and all other stuff to minimal), I can play with these games as well. The lower the resolution, the longer I can play before crash (at 800600 there is no crash at all).

I have brand new CPU Cooler, new RAMs, new GPU…

The PSU is garbage and needs to be replaced, one star review here describes exactly what is happening to you,

Can you reccommend me a low cost PSU which is enough for my GPU (and games)? And how hard is it to change PSU myself? Should I go back to a PC service? (I really don’t want to)

Only the one that I could find in your country Seasonic S12III-500 notice the quality rating and reviews.

Swapping a PSU is not too difficult as long as you follow the required safety steps as well as the removal and replacement instructions.

What I would do until you have the appropriate PSU is remove the GTX 750 Ti from the computer and store it somewhere safe until you have the new PSU in place, use the onboard video meanwhile, the present PSU is killing the add on GPU along with your other hardware, post back when you have the new PSU if you like and one of us will walk you through fitting it.

See the attachment below with the notes that I have added to it regarding your present PSU.

Thank you! I ended up ordering another PSU that was recommended to me elsewhere, I hope it will be good as well: BitFenix Formula 550W Gold
If I have any problems installing it, I’ll be sure to come back and ask.
