Wi-Fi won't work on laptop (at all)

My Laptop was working fine until i moved it to the kitchen, as soon as i picked it up my network card f’d up and i couldn’t find any Wi-Fi networks at all, i’ve tried reinstalling drivers and deactivated and activated the Wi-Fi adapter but nothing seems to work.
My phone is connected to the wi-fi without any problems so it’s not that and when i plug my phone into the laptop i can use hotspot through wire and get internet acces so some part of the network card must work.
Could i have broken the Wi-Fi adapter or something while lifting it or could there be another (hopefully easier and less expensive) reason as to why it won’t work and if i need to get it replaced how much will it cost?
    Networks card: Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz
    Laptop: MSI GF65 Thin 1OSER-451NE

so we are talking about the inbuilt wifi adapter?
you haven’t added an external USB one?
and it’s fine if you use an ethernet cable?

you haven’t accidentally turned it off from a slide switch somewhere along the units edge, or a Fn key combo or from the wifi icon in the system tray?

does the wireless adapter show up in Device Manager?
have you flip the laptop over and seen if there are any access panels that give access to the hard drive, wireless and bluetooth cards? some laptops require the whole back plate to come off before the components are exposed.

yes the inbuilt one, i don’t have a turn off slide for the wifi on the side or back and i didn’t touch any buttons when i picked it up, i can see the adapter in the device manager and it says driver or hardware related issues.
I have to remove the whole backplate to exploit the cards and internals.

have you gone into Programs & Features and uninstalled the Intel wireless driver, then reboot the laptop and have Windows auto reinstall the driver?

a lot of networking stuff gets turned off, but try rebooting the PC into Safe Mode and see what happens.

failing that, reboot normally and create a new user account, then sign out and log in under that new profile and see if that helps.

have you tried an ethernet cable?
any chance you can get your hands on a USB wireless adapter for testing?

Is the wifi adapter showing under device manager? If not then check further under View>Show hidden devices.
Which version of Windows are you running? Is it fully up to date?
