Scanning and repairing drive (\\?\Volume{85……}) upon booting up
hi all,
recently i have been experiencing very slow boot ups because windows starts scanning and repairing drive (\?\Volume{85a8fd2b-7d10-459c-b3e6-6af4a9840a87}) everytime i on my computer. I have tried using command prompt to chkdsk /f the volume line of text but problem is still persisting as it says type of file system is FAT32. Cannot read boot sector.

how do i get the psu make
yes the system is able to boot up just that it takes longer than usual as it needs to scan and repair drive (\?\Volume{85a8fd2b-7d10-459c-b3e6-6af4a9840a87})
tried booting with no usb devices on it but still the same, have to scan and repair drive
command doesnt work so i will just copy paste
C:\WINDOWS\system32> chkdsk “\?\Volume{85a8fd2b-7d10-459c-b3e6-6af4a9840a87}” /r
The type of the file system is FAT32.
Cannot read boot sector.
what is make/model of drive in question?
can you run some software (like Defraggler by Piriform, but there are others) that show the S.M.A.R.T values of the drive?
but really, I’d be backing up my files ASAP and replacing that drive.
no point in using a drive that is unreliable.

Open the case and look on the side and or bottom of the power supply unit.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.
Include the make and model of the Power Supply Unit if this is a Desktop.
To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:
In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.
In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.
Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.
Instead of using Crystal Mark lets get a better picture and post screen shots of he drives

From what I can see is that this is the drive that is failing which is chowing as your D and E drives.
If you were to disconnect this drive does the system boot properly?
i will try to open the case to look at the psu and disconnect the hard drive when my dad comes back from holiday. cant do so right now as i injured my arm and i have no strength
Hope your arm get better and nothing to bad has happened.
In the mean time if there is personal data on that drive and you can access it at all strongly suggest that you back it up before you loose the data.
Even the report is showing an issue with the second HDD is starting to fail.

I only have what has already been stated, that 1TB Seagate drive is the cause of your current issues.
backup your files off it then ditch it.
then get a bigger drive.
and while buying more hardware, consider also getting an external drive for backups.
