    Intriguing Motherboard Issue

So, I’ve had a whirlwind of frustration with my motherboard recently.
A couple of months ago it died. I tested my PSU and tested the board with a different PSU, and a different CPU as well (though the board should still have power with a dead CPU).
Motherboard is a gigabyte X570 Master.

Sent it back to scan for testing. They reply saying the board works. They reset CMOS, updated bios and away it went.

I get it back, and low and behold it is indeed working again. I’ve made sure it is indeed the same motherboard, and I confirm that it is.
2 weeks go by, and it “does” again. Do the same tests again, and reset CMOS, seems dead again.
Send it back again having gone over every test I’ve done, and scan aren’t sure what’s going on or what could be causing the problem. But they get the board back, and it’s working again. They even do a 6 hour stress test. All fine.

My rig has, 3900xt CPU, 32GB 3400Hz ddr4 ram, etc 3080 gpu, 2 M.2 drives and an RM1000 PSU by Corsair.
My query is, what do you think the problem might be? What can cause a false death on a motherboard?

it would be nice to get the repair shops specs to see what sort/type of graphics card, memory etc that they use.
would also help to now what they did - dismantle it all and use your mobo in their rig, or it simply magically started work for them due to the trip in the car or something.

explain how it is now not working - error messages, beeps at startup, no signal, fans/LEDs working?

I’d be reassembling the whole rig outside the case and onto a piece of cardboard on the kitchen table or floor. the very process may fix it if there is a bad connection or dust buildup but if it doesn’t the components will be in a better state to swap out and in for troubleshooting.
