yes, trust BIOS temp readings over anything else especially Speccy, it has a long known bug in reporting wrong temps, a bug their forum members often report but the developers just don’t fix.
you have done all the stuff we would normally suggest:- reformat, reassemble, new/old drivers, the PSU has enough wattage.
that really only leaves those games themselves, something they are doing, causing the black screens, like bad memory management, or incompatible hardware.
have you noticed any difference with the games that cause the issue and the games that don’t, like screen resolution, Steam, Punk Buster, online server - that is, something one game uses that the other doesn’t?
when you changed coolers, did you also change the thermal paste?
and just confirming, this was also happening with the old cooler?
in case it is temp related, remove the side cover and have a fan directly blowing into the chassis and see how that effects things. (long shot but hey)Comment

you can get PSU testers, like these; https://www.lifewire.com/test-a-powe...tester-2626160
the last one i got years ago cost about $25.
they are the only thing that has reliably tested PSU’s, apart from physically changing over to a new one.
there is no test available to test them internally, connected up, and along with the paper clip test, they can still be faulty but appear to ‘work’.Comment
