Brought New Powersource worked and now not working .

I’ll preface this by saying I am really not good with computers, so there might be a simple fix I overlooked, but since I can’t find it I figured I’d ask for help before getting it replaced/getting professional help.

So I accidently blew my powersource a month back, I got my new one today, my partner an I with some cooperation worked out how to replace the old one with the new one.

It started up just fine, lights were running, fans were going, all well and good except the monitor wasn’t receiving a connection to the HDMI (we still didn’t work this out either), we turned it off safely to double check the wires were plugged in where they’re supposed to be and turned it on again, powersource still worked, monitor didn’t.

So we turned it off again, partner removed the video card and put it back in again, and all of a sudden its not powering on at all, no lights or fans.

We have unplugged and replugged all of the wires to make sure that none of the powersource wires came loose, made sure everything is turned on (powersource and at the wall).

Is there anything else we can/should do, or should I just try and get a new powersource?

Thanks for any help, neither of us overly understand anything but basics so anything would be appreciated, can give extra information if needed.

      Hello!

I didn’t hear anything at the time, I have a external/removable graphics card (I’m not sure if it has another name), though I don’t know if it also has onboard graphics.

I did do the paper clip test earlier yesterday and the fans didn’t power up, so I presume it’s gone?

      Thank you so far!
