PC cannot recognise new SSD... Have I ordered the wrong part?

Hi to anyone who can help,

I am trying increase the size of my SSD from 100GB to 1TB. I watched a few YouTube tutorials and ended up buying an NVME 1TB SSD from Amazon ( WD_BLUE SN550 1TB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3 NVMe up to 2400 MB/s read speed : Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories ). I have followed every step on various tutorials but cannot get the device to show up on the disk management window.

My PC has an ASUS Z97-PRO Gamer motherboard.

I have tried to read the manual but just don’t know enough to determine if I am doing something wrong.

    Manual Link: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/m...web_hi_res.pdf

Have you checked to see if it is recognized in BIOS?

      Hi Dorset
According to your Manual. Page vii it will take that key M 2 2280 PCIe Gen3 according to Amazon link M 2 2280 PCIe Gen3
Please look at the settings under Advanced in the BIOS refer to Page 2-33 in the Manual.
And we assume you have placed in Socket (7) on the Motherboard Page 1-2 in Manual.
I am not trying to be funny with the last question.
