Sorry
I was not paying attention and did not notice it was conversation.
Your on board display port may work it depends on the motherboard/bios.
If not use the graphics card and if your monitor does not have a the same connection use an adapter.
I’m finding you can’t switch between HDMI and Display Port (no response) if both are connected to the same monitor
What monitor are you using I switch between VGA/Hdmi/Display port on 1 monitor
In response to your earlier question in the conversation, from an online search I think the motherboard is probably:
[HEADING=2]Dell OptiPlex 7020 2YYK5 SFF Intel Desktop [/HEADING]
Both my monitors are Dell IPS Panels 1920 x 1080, although not the same model. The older one doesn’t have HDMI.
I think the main consideration for me is whether or not the Display Port will now benefit from the Graphics Card properties or will still just be routed through the onboard graphics only?
If it’s just using the onboard, then I will find a way to free up the DVI on the second monitor as you suggest.
If the Display Port does now benefit from the Graphics Card, I need to spend more time resolving why it’s not working in combination with HDMI, at least not when attached to the same monitor.
If the computer is a desktop can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).
Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.
To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:
In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.
In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.
Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

I am not able to make much sense from this.

Same here
Let’s take a step back
I think what you are trying to do is have 2 Monitors coming from the one computer
True or false
Your computer should also have a service tag sticker on it can we have the service tag number as well as the speccy.
You should be able to run at least 3 monitors from the onboard graphics. BUT let’s make sure we have the correct info first
Attached is a picture of 2 desktops. Which one looks like yours.
