    Win 10 No Sound

    Hi Folks,
Probably a subject thats been done to death !

I cannot get a sound out of the PC ? I have an input clearly showing but no sound, I have been through everything, Device manager, Drivers, Trouble shooter, Checked the source input is selected, different speakers to prove they work the lot.

Any ideas or a site which can give you a step by step checklist would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Chris

No, they were disabled but when enabled only the windows sound comes out, ie if your selecting something.

Do the PC sounds work but Music doesn’t play or is it that no sounds at all play?
Ensure you haven’t clicked any Mute key on the keyboard.

The meter shows there is an input, no pc sounds, no mute buttons pressed at all

I have a friend who has a spare Pci sound card which I think I might try at the weekend if not before and just disable the on board one.

                  Thanks for the reply though

Under the Audio properties ensure the correct adapter is selected as default & not something else like Steam audio.
