    Black screen, no BIOS

I recently brought an GTX 1060 Asus Turbo 3GB, and I swapped my old GT 430 with this GTX 1060. I connected everything correctly and I pressed the power button, PC starts, beep 1 time after 5-10 seconds and the “no signal” from the monitor disappears and it remains black and the BIOS doesn’t shows. My motherboard is Acer Veriton M4610G with the latest BIOS which is P01.B0 from 2012/10/15. With my old GT 430 and with the integrated graphics it boots fine. Can the GTX 1060 be faulty? Or it’s an incompatibility with my motherboard? I tested the GTX 1060 on my friend PC and the same thing happened (he has an even older motherboard with 775 socket).

    My specs:
    Intel Core i5-2310
    8 GB RAM
    GT 430/GTX 1060
    Corsair CX 650M (650W) PSU
    Acer Veriton M4619G Q66H2-AM V1.1 (latest BIOS P01.B0)

Nothing that we can tell you here that has not already been suggested on at least one other forum where you have post, if the GPU still does not work when you try a HDMI cable based on the fact that it also does not work on your friends computer it suggests that the GPU is bad.

Sorry to hear that so fingers crossed that a HDMI cable gets you sorted.

I will try the HDMI and if it still doesn’t show anything on the monitor I will change anyways the motherboard because it’s old and it doesn’t have some features! Thank you for the help!!!

                  UPDATE!!!
I installed TeamViewer with my old gpu and switched back to gtx 1060. The sistem booted up and the PC is detecting the 1060. In device manager it says that the 1060 has the error 43 and Windows disabled it. How I can fix this problem?

Well that makes no sense whatsoever, error 43 means that there is a GPU driver issue and the drivers that are being used now are Windows own generic video drivers, these drivers are the exact same ones that Windows would normally try and install on boot to allow you to install the required drivers from either ASUS or Nvidea, this error would not have stopped you from getting a BIOS screen as the BIOS also has such generic video drivers that it would use.

I suggest that you create a new system restore point then check for Windows updates to see if it comes up with any drivers for the GPU.

Short version of the above, something else was stopping the GPU from working and it was nothing to do with Windows or drivers.

Why it shows 0 Memory and “Unknown” Bandwidth and Bit width?

Try doing the steps that were suggested in my reply #10 to see if installing the correct GPU drivers changes anything.

The error 43 was also explained in my reply #10.

Can I ask that you do not quote every reply and give us a chance to reply to you before you post again, double posting amounts to bumping your thread which will not get you a reply any quicker.

Before you installed the new graphics did you remove the old drivers first?
Try removing the drivers via DDU then installing the latest nVidia ones for the new card:
Wagnardsoft: Computer PC Software tools. Home of Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU)
