Memory OverLoad ???

I have Asus M5A97r2 Mother board. CPU is a Radeon 6300. I’m trying to get 16 GB of memory installed on this board. Trying to Get Steam flight simulator to act half way right. The problem is every time I put the 4th memory card in which takes me to 16 GB, I get Microsoft windows Memory shut downs. memory Error. If I pull the 4th chip back out and stay at 12 GB it runs fine. The game still acts up but I stop getting the memory failures and crashes. Any Ideas. Steam flight Sim requires 16GB. Or is it my CPU is too slow. Graphics card is a Asrock RX 570

Does it matter which stick you put in as the fourth?

Have you tested the system with just one stick at a time to see if the work or if it is the port?

what are the make and model of the RAM sticks.

I found the problem. Had to go into settings for the mother board, and set the memory for 1600 mghz. It was set for 1333 Never knew this setting was in there. But it worked. I should probably be running the 1333 mghz sticks and not these 1600 I have installed.

I,m Running these Corsair "vengence memory sticks at 1600 Mghz. But I found out with this Board, I should be running at 1333 mghz. But there is a setting where you have to select which freq. sticks you install. I went in and selected 1600 mghz memory and this solved the problem. I should probably be running the 1333 memory in this thing but when I built this computer I didnt check any of this. I have to buy a new processor any way because this AMD Fx6300 I’m running right now does cut it anymore.
