3070 Cyberpunk 30fps - card not working properly?

Hello, i recently got an Gforce RTX 3070 and the performance has’nt been how it should, i know someone who has an almost identical setup and is getting much higher FPS than me in games. I ran a benchmark test and everything scored well however it is not translating in to game performance. oes anyone know anything that might be holding the performance back or is there any way to increase it. i am getting 30 fps on ultra ray tracing off in cyberpunk. i have already checked my hdmi is plugged into card.

set up

Processor
AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor

Video Card
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

RAM
16 GB

Operating System
Windows 10

thank you

Can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

We can see a few issues in Speccy but as a starting point only the two most important will be mentioned.

CV = Corsair Value and not intended for anything more than entry level desktops that only have integrated graphics or the most basic of add on GPU.

Requires a minimum of a 700W PSU from a good quality brand, for stability the PSU should also be at least Gold efficiency rated, see Which power supply do you need?

Power Profile
Active power scheme: Ultimate Performance

I suggest that you change the Windows Power Plan to Balanced, Ultra and High Performance are a form of overclocking that is known to cause stability and overheating issues and the setting should only be used for gaming type notebooks that have a discrete GPU that needs the extra power.

The PSU being both weak and underpowered will be making it get real hot inside and so much so that it could pop.

Adding a second stick of RAM to obtain dual channel mode and the 2933MHz that the CPU works best with would have been mentioned but unlike the inadequate PSU and the Ultra Performance Power Plan setting having the RAM only working in single channel mode is not damaging your hardware so was deemed less urgent.

Memory
Type: Unknown
Size: 16384 MBytes
Channels #: Single
DRAM Frequency: 1064.1 MHz This will be bottlenecking your CPU and GPU and will impact your gaming FPS but it will not damage the other hardware.

Just a fyi and so you can see for yourself what is said by Corsair about their CV 650W PSU, wouldn[ICODE]t want anyone to think that we didn[/ICODE]t do our research

CORSAIR CV power supplies are ideal for powering your new home or office PC,

Anything else we can help you with?

You are welcome
