PC freezing every once in a while (GPU issue?)

    Hi,

so i ve been experiencing some issues for a while now. I had a different topic open already where we fixed the issue with PSU which was exchanged for a better one. That did fix a lot already but one issue still remains.
When i play something, not even graphic intense, i experience freezes. These are on all my monitors so its not the game itself but i m guessing the whole PC.
My guess is the GPU as in TaskManager everything thats on Very high power usage has the GPU engine running (see screenshot).
Latest drivers are installed for GPU. I have no clue if it really is the GPU.
Its a nvidia 1060 6gb which has its years by now thats why i have a feeling thats the problem but i wanna make sure its not something else.
Now i do not have a different card available and i cant lend one from a friend or anything.

I hope you can help me find what the issue is.

    Hi,

Have you tried setting your power plan to high performance in the Control Panel? Are you overclocking any components? What build of Windows 10 are you using? Are you using an SSD or a hard drive?

Try performing a clean boot and see if the same behavior occurs.

Also, please enter your System Details. It helps us in answering your questions, thanks.

Ah sorry forgot the speccy. Here it is:

I had it on high performance before i switched to the new PSU but i was told thats not the best option as this is a kind of overclocking so i m using balanced now.
I am not overclocking anything in particular. XMP profile for the RAM is beeing used so it runs @3200Mhz but thats it.

Windows build Win 10 pro 64 build 10.0.19042

i forgot to mention that the freeze stays for like 2-3 seconds, than it all normally works again. There are not graphical artifacts or anything like that.
I ll try the clean boot in the meantime

So i ve gone back to high performance setting in the power options and i have not experienced a freeze so far. I let a video play, started Lightroom and photoshop and than played a few games.
How is this explainable? Are the power options somehow trying to put something to sleep not realizing i am playing a game or something and thats how it freezes for a moment?
Might it be due to the XMP profile(since that is a kind of OC) and without high performance it causes problems?
