Graphics card stopping the display to go onto the monitor?

So I have a graphics card that I got when I first got my computer (a little over a year now) and I just got the right PSU for it and now we have found out that by the looks of it my graphics card is overriding my onboard graphics so it will not display on the monitor. I have downloaded the driver and tried we also have tried to reseat it, those have not worked yet. Any idea what we could do? My graphics card is a Radeon RX 560.

so you know - if the motherboard detects an add-on graphics card it auto disables in onboard mobo one.
so make sure you plug the monitor cables into the new card and not the mobo ports.

We were plugging the HDMI cable into the graphics card and it was still doing this

The older PSU was the base PSU that came with my Thinkcenter computer, this current PSU is Amazon.com the card is getting enough power it just will not display a picture

how are you getting the monitor to work now?
with the monitor connected to the onboard card’s ports on the motherboard and with the Radeon in or out?

The Radeon is in my computer because I am absolutely terrified of touching the graphics card tbh, it just isn’t plugged in with the 6 pin

I’m not sure how you have ever got a signal to show on the monitor if the Radeon has always been plugged in (powered or not) and the monitor cable goes to the motherboard port.

the motherboard should be disabling the onboard graphics because it should detect the Radeon.

but either way… you have to power up the Radeon if you want to use it.
plug in the 6pin power cable and start the PC - then we’ll know.

That’s the thing, the display doesn’t show when we plug in the 6 pin, that is my issue.

Maximum output for that PSU is 420 watts most of the time you will be lucky if it even puts out that amount most PSU can sustain that for a short period of time.

Image from the same site that you posted.

                    That GPU requires 450 watts.

If you have used the previous inferior PSU with that card you may have ruined it.
