I have a buddy thag owns an 2012 IMac 27 inch and he came home started his computer up and he sent me this picture of his screen, I’ve looked around to see what it could have been and what I’ve gathered is that it just needs it’s graphics cars replaced? Is there anyone who can vouch for this or could it be something else?
Looks more like the actual screen going out, try connecting the computer to an external screen, if the issue is not replicated on the external screen you have confirmed that the GPU is good and that the screen itself is bad.
