Ram speed not running as fast as advertised.

So I bought some ram off amazon, here is the link: Crucial Ballistix RGB BL2K8G36C16U4WL 3600 MHz, DDR4, DRAM ,Desktop Gaming Memory Kit, 16GB (8GB x2), CL16, White : Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories it has 3600 advertised speed but it is running at 2666 mhz. I’ve gone into bios to see if I could change it and which I did and my computer wouldn’t boot. But when I changed it back to auto it worked. If curious I have a msi b550 mag tomahawk motherboard. Is there a way I could fix this?

Couple of possible reasons why the RAM will not work at 3200MHz.

The new RAM requires a minimum of 1.35V but to protect the CPU your MB recommends RAM below this.(1.2V)

The RAM is just outright not compatible, see attachment.

        Suggestions

Check that you have the latest BIOS.

Try the RAM in the other two memory slots.

Manually set the voltage for the RAM to 1.35V in the BIOS.
