I am returning a Sabrent M.2 NVME SSD, I have already installed Windows on it but since I’m returning it I need to securely wipe it. Does anyone know of a free program that will allow me to do that? Sabrent doesn’t have a program and my mobo doesn’t have a secure wipe feature.
CCleaner by Piriform has an inbuilt Drive Wiper or you could just do a low-level reformat from File Explorer.
either way, it’s going to take some time as it writes all 0’s or 1’s (or what technology they use) to the entire drive.
I found out that my mobo does infact have a drive secure wipe feature built in, it was just hidden away in a sub menu. This cab be marked solved, thanks.
