    No signal in fullscreen games

    Hello,

I’ve been dealing with this for a few months but still haven’t managed to fix it.

When I’m trying to launch game directly in fullscreen mode, my monitor turns black and writes: “Cable is not connected” and PC restarts. However all games works fine when I launch them in windowed or windows borderless mode.

AMD graphic drivers reinstalled like 10 times (in safe mode, with DDU, AMD Clean Up Utility). Tried to install one year old drivers but problem still persists. However games launch in fullscreen when I have AMD Drivers uninstalled which is strange.

I would say it might be related with refresh rate. I acutally use 60Hz and when I switch it to 59Hz in Windows setting, it behaves absolutely same like when launching games in fullscreen - monitor turns black and writes: “Cable is not connected” and PC restarts.

The question is: Is it really problem with AMD drivers or there’s somewhere some hidden option in Windows that fights with AMD drivers? I really have no clue as I run out of possibilies.

Can you please help me somehow?

    Hello

What are the spec’s on your monitor? Was that driver updated recently? Have you tried rolling back to the older driver if so?

Hey, thanks for reply. My monitor is this: https://www.cnet.com/products/acer-s...l-hd-1080p-24/

I have recent drivers. I’ve tried year old drivers. I’m 100% sure all my games worked 3-4 month ago but now my monitor disconnects even with year old drivers.

What type cable does your monitor use?

Yes, I understand your concern. I wanted to reply there that I already fixed the problem but thread was closed. I managed to fix it by increasing virtual memory.

I don’t think that these two problems are connected somehow.
