Is it true? Optiplex 980 mt

Someone on toms hardware said : You don’t need a PSU upgrade with the Zotac GTX1050Ti Mini. Just buy the card and stick it in. Save the money for extra RAM, or a CPU upgrade. An SSD if you don’t already have one. The PSU will make absolutely no difference. I know the card maker says you need such and such a PSU. But that’s for systems with more powerful CPUs and lots of expansion bays, and slots. That PSU can power anything that the MB has a connnector for. Only if you add a GPU that needs a separate power cable will you need a PSU.

moot point really as that Dell motherboard uses a proprietary mini power connector, not the standard 24pin ATX power connector.

        Direct to Xenfur

If you start one more thread that concerns the same computer and upgrades as in your previous thread here your ability to post will be suspended, I couldn`t do any more for you in that thread short of coming and fitting any upgrades for you, the same advice as was post in that thread stands, if you are unable to do the upgrades yourself seek the help of a local tech who will do the upgrade for you.
