    SOS Help me pls

    Hi,

I build my PC about 2 years ago and installed Windows 10 (which i didnt update at all) by USB, which i bought per key or gratis, i dont remember anymmore. 2 days ago my PC froze and crashed. When i turned my PC on the BIOS came up, where all drivers (SSD and HDD) where shown, but i couldnt get out of the BIOS, even after turning the PC on and off. I installed the new Windows 10, with a USB just like 2 years ago, but this Time i couldnt install Windows on the SSD, but only on the HDD. It worked, but my Pc was much slower and my Programms seemed to be missing, but in the HDD folder and my SSD folder was missing, which i named and it appeared again, but i couldnt open it. So it tryed to format it, which didnt work. But the whole Problem started from the beginning, afrer restarting the PC. I ended up in the BIOS again and again, like i never installed Windows. I intstalled Windows again, but the Problem kept appearing. After many restart attempts, my PC tried to repair itself, but like installing Windows it seemed to work, after restarting i ended in the BIOS. I checked the Cables and took the Drivers in and out seppreatly, but nothing worked. Sry for my english, thx for reading and i appreciate any Help.

    Hello

So are you able to start your pc? What version of Win 10 did you install? Which drive did you format the HDD or the SSD?

      Hi,

Try resetting your BIOS back to default values and see if that allows you to install Windows on the SSD successfully.

Also, please enter your System Details. It helps us in answering your questions, thanks.

I got it with a lot of help. I took the SSD out and deleted everything on the HDD. Than i installed Winodws again and it worked. So my SSD failed. But what bothers me is, that my SSD is less than 2 years old. so why did it fail? It wasnt cheap too.
It is a ASATA SSD Ultimate SU650. Sometimes (once in 2 months) over the years my PC would restard on its own. So could it be that my Power Supply was the cause for its early dead?

        power supply: CX650M
        Motherboard: Prime Asus Z270-A
        HDD: Barracuda SEAGATE 1TB
        CPU: Intel core i7-7700k 4.20GHz
        GPU: GTX 1080Ti
        ram: some cheap ram 16GB

like anything electronic (or not actually), things die.
check the SSD still isn’t under warranty - won’t help with your situation right now but at least you may get a free replacement.
yes, 2 years is under the average but hey, sh*t happens.
I’ve had good luck with the Samsung EVO range of SSD’s, so they’d be my 1st choice. and you’ll find they have gotten a lot cheaper too.

your 650watt PSU would have been just fine for powering the SSD - it may be slightly under-performing for the GPU though.
if you can, it wouldn’t hurt getting something in the 850 range. also try and get a 80 plus silver or gold or better (budget permitting).

Agreed about the Samsung 860 EVO SSD’s. They are one of the best brands on the market.

SSD’s also can fail even though they are supposed to last a long time, anything can happen.

Yes i have warranty on it, i will replace it. I will defnetly consider buying a samasung evo 860. Buying a new PSU at the Moment is not an Option, only when its damaging my Hardware or smnt, because i lack the Money. I have a new Problem now XD. When i start my PC and log in, it restart on its own once and works fine after. It doesnt bother me, but makes me afraid, that something is wrong with some Hardware again.

so the SSD is removed form the machine and Windows has been reloaded onto the HDD?
