I have no idea what my issue is, but my PC restarts itself, and now Benchmark has my performance dropping a lot.

          So far there have been no issues. Without the GPU I haven’t been able to do as much, but there haven’t been any shut downs.

            So now you need to replace the GPU and just use the computer for general use, no benchmarking and no gaming, if you don`t get any problems, try running just SUPERPOSITION then post back with an update for us, we need to do one step at a time to see what triggers the issue.

                Nope, put the GTX 1660Ti back in the computer, I suppose I could have said return the GTX 1660 -Ti to the PCI-E slot on the MB and blah, blah, blah but using the word replace seemed better than me waffling :whistle:

                  Okay, I will reinstall my GPU and see how things go. I will update again on wednesday or thursday if nothing happens between now and then.

                    Hi, My pc crashed again. I was just watching a youtube video and had another window (maybe 2-3 tabs) open in reddit. Nothing intensive.

                      Define crash for us if you will, there is a difference between a system crashing and a system shutting down and for us to be able to help you we need to know what happened exactly.

                        Okay, rather than crash, the PC restarted itself. The screen froze, went black, I could see the lights on my GPU go out for a second or two, then the PC restarted itself without any input from me.
                        Usually, I would have to manually hold down the power button to turn it off, then turn it back on.

                          Software crashes whereas hardware fails and what you describe comes into the latter category as does overheating btw.

                          Best thing that you can do is get your GPU tested in a computer that has the appropriate spec PSU or by a local tech who has all the kit, fully understand that both could be difficult atm but unfortunately there is no fix for this that we can suggest here I`m afraid.

                            Can I just get a new PSU and see if that works? I know you said buying new parts is a last resort, but my current VS650 PSU is underpowered for what I want, right? So either way I will need to get a new PSU sooner or later, correct?

                              Entirely up to you but if you can get by without an add on GPU and keep the present PSU fine but if not I would still get the present GPU tested in case the poor power supply has damaged it, I know I wouldn’t be too happy if I purchased a new PSU and the GPU still had problems, fwiw, the following from your reply #26 suggests to me that the PSU stopped providing power to the computer;
