    SSD Placement Within Pc Case

    Hello everyone,

Hope you are all safe and sound during these troubling times.

I have finally run out of space on both my SSDs so I’ve decided to set up another one by myself. Being a pc newbie of sorts and seeing how every hardware store is currently closed, I tried my best to figure out how to connect it. I am providing you with an image showing the ONLY way I was able to set it up and place it within the case. Please let me know if this is acceptable or will it cause damage in the long run/near future.

Thank you for your time and stay safe!

Suggest you be a little tidier? There are a couple of spots where you could mount the drive with velcro, either flat on the casing it is sitting at an angle on now, or even with cable ties to the slotted plates behind the graphics card.

You could even get creative and modify a 2.5 inch drive mounting bracket to make it really neat. Leaving the drive like it is will subject the cable connections to future problems.

you could also try taking off the other sides cover and using double sided tape (if you don’t have any mounting screws) and you can place it somewhere.somewhere
