    3700x Kernel Power 41

    Hi everyone https://assets2.jiveon.com/core/2018...cons/happy.png

    My 3700x is having really high temps and not running on normal tacting rates. This causes FPS stuttering in a lot of games and really hight temps to 90 degrees. ( with stock cooler)

    My PC restarts regularly so I watched at the Event viewer, which says Kernel Power 41 issue.

    Every drivers i have updated twice but it didnt help. Also the bios.

    My specs:

    Ryzen 7 3700x cpu

    Mpg x570 gaming edge wifi

    5700xt Red devil

    gskill camouflage 16gb 3600mhz ram

    Corsair VS 650 power supply (650w)

    In the attachment you will find a screenshot of my Ryzen master in idle.

    Im putting in the exact event viewer report too.

    I really hope you guys can help me with that https://assets2.jiveon.com/core/2018...ticons/sad.png

    Cheers

    Welcome to PCHF bomber2244,

    You need a PSU with a higher output and efficiency rating as a starting point;

    Your GPU requires the system to be powered by a PSU with a minimum output of 700W and preferably one with a Gold efficiency rating so that you get clean and stable power as much as possible, VS = Value Series and are the weakest range of PSUs that Corsair make, fine for an entry level desktop with onboard video or only the most basic of add GPUs but really no good for a gaming rig and especially not one that has such a power hungry GPU as yours, check the GPU specs here and you will see that it requires a 700W PSU.
