Gpu isnt working with PC

My pc wont show up on my monitor whenever i plug my GPU in but works when it isnt installed, any ideas on how to fix? my Mobo is a intel DG41RQ and my GPU is a AMD RADEON 8490. Thanks

So your built in gpu is working but not the 8490.. ? Sounds like the Amd card has failed.

i got two of the same AMD cards, neither works when plugged into the monitor via DVI, but without my GPU installed and pc connected via VGA it works fine.

Ok make sure your gpu slot is clean..

It is, when I plug the gpu into its slot the fan on the gpu will run like it’s working

Does the video card work in another computer? Have you tried a different video card model to plug into the current system?

did this card ever work in this PC?
if it did, and doesn’t now, that points to the card dying.
if it’s new and the first time you are trying to use it, the points to it being incompatible.
you are giving the card all the required power connections?
