Hello. Today my son was playing on the computer. Suddenly the PC went black as all the power was gone. I can’t turn it on again. It’s dead. If I remove the power cord and let it “rest” for a while, and then push the “on” switch, I get a small reaction. I can see one of the fans move just a couple of mm. If I try again nothing happens (no movement of fan) until it rest for a while. What is wrong? I don’t think it’s the powersupplie, but I’m not sure. Can it be the motherboard? How can I troubleshoot what’s wrong? Need help…
it will be the power supply and/or the motherboard.
unless you have another power supply lying around or a power supply tester, you can’t troubleshoot.
any good PC repair shop will test those parts for free and give you a quote.
