    Power Supply Quality

    Hello,
I just acquired 25 random PSU’s and I’m trying to figure out which are the best three (I have three gaming PC’s in my house) out of what I acquired.
I was mainly looking for a power supply tier list, but every list I find on google doesn’t have every PSU I currently have.
I know @phillpower2 is pretty knowledgeable with PSU’s and I’ve been looking through the links in his signature, but I’m not too savvy with power supply lingo.. I’d rather have a trusted members opinion than try to sift through all the data myself…

Here’s what I acquired and tested with a power supply tester that I am curious about:
Corsair RM850 80+ Gold (Fully Modular)
SeaSonic Focus+ 850 Gold (Fully Modular)
    Corsair CS-750M 80+ Gold (Semi-Modular)
EVGA Supernova NEX 750B 80+ Bronze (Semi-Modular) (Currently installed in my 1st place rig)
    Rosewill ARC750 80+ Bronze (I got 8 Non-Modular and 4 Semi-Modular of these)
Raidmax Thunder RGB RX-735AP 80+ Bronze (Semi-Modular) (Currenly installed in my 2nd place rig)

My 3rd place rig has an Ultra LSP 750 watt which I know well enough to know is a pile of doo-doo.

I mean my knee-jerk reaction would be to say that the three gold rated ones would be the best.. but which would be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
My main concern is reliability and stability not power output. Any of these will be enough power output for my three rigs.
Also, if any of those are piles of crap, let me know, so I can make sure to get rid of them.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello TheDiagGuy,

Because we don`t know how old the PSUs are the second we will have to treat them as all equal.

1: SeaSonic Focus+ 850 Gold (Fully Modular) 10 year warranty and many say the best ever brand of PSU.

2: Corsair RM850 80+ Gold (Fully Modular) 5 year warranty and my preferred brand for a long time.

3: Corsair CS-750M 80+ Gold (Semi-Modular) 3 year warranty and the equivalent of a budget range Gold efficiency rated PSU from Corsair, I wouldnt use this on a computer that had a real high end GPU, something that only needed a 600W PSU would be ok.

EVGA are ok but Raidmax and Rosewill are on the avoid list.

Okay Awesome. Thank you for your reply. I kind of tier my computers out.
The Seasonic is gonna go with a EVGA GTX 1070 SC and a i7-8700
      The RM-850 is gonna go with a Ryzen 5 2600x and a XFX RX 590 OC+ FatBoy
The CS-750M is gonna go with a i7-2600k (Overclocked naturally) and a GTX 1060 6GB.

Im wondering if I should put the Seasonic in my AMD rig since the TDP is higher on those components and I overclock them… Thoughts?

You are well covered whichever way you go tbh so it is just a matter of your preference.
