    PC Power Issues

    Hey Guys,

Last night I woke my PC up from sleep mode and one of the fans sounded like a lawnmower. It was way louder than normal. I decided to restart my computer to see if the problem still existed.

Upon reboot however, the fan is now operating as normal. However the PC will power up for about 10 seconds, then power down into sleep mode for 5 seconds, then power back up into power for 10 seconds, and down again into sleep for 5 seconds. It will continue in this loop until Iturn the machine off.

During the 10 second power up phase - the monitor, keyboard, and mouse all do not seem to receive any input from the computer. Due to the monitor not receiving any input cant tell if the PC is actually booting up into the OS or not.

My guess is my PSU is bad. Its only a year old so this seems odd to me.

Anybody have any other suggestions or have had this problem before?

    Thanks,

Its a desktop. After doing some more research and testing my PC is stuck in a boot loop. It will start up go for about 30 seconds, then shut down, then start up, then shut down.

let it start, and as it does (within that 30sec window) push and leave in the power button to force it off.
turn it on and force it off again - repeat 3 or 4 times.
eventually Windows should say something like, unable to boot - please wait, and bring up the Advanced Startup Option menu.
from here you can either try to boot into Safe Mode, use a Restore Point or use a saved system image (if you had done any) to try to resolve the issue.
has there been any software or hardware changes recently?
