Random blackscreens while gaming (no signal)

Hey guys,
i have been having a the problem of blackscreens for a while now while gaming and can`t seem to fix it. Sometimes it just goes black and back up again. Othertimes i have to hard reset the PC. It is also really inconsistent. Sometimes it happens multiple times a day, sometimes not all. Other errors are rendering device lost in Overwatch, Dev Error 6068 in MW.
My Setup:
i7-6700 @3.4 Ghz with air cooler (Broken2)
rx 5700xt Red Devil (2 months old)
Asus Z170 Pro Gaming (newest Bios)
G-Skill F4-3200 2x8 gb DDR 4
PSU: 500W beQuiet Straight Power 10 (80+ Gold)
1 Seagate Hdd at 1 tb
2 SSD: 120gb Kingston and 240 gb Crucial
Win 10
Displays: Main 24 inch 144hz 1080
secondary: 21 inch 60hz

So to give a backstory, my old GPU died a couple of months ago (R9 390 Sapphire) and i bought a new Red Devil when it came available.
Since then i have been having some troubles. What i tried so far:
reinstalling windows a couple of times and completley new from USB-stick
Uninstalling drivers with DisplayDriver in Safemode, fresh installs
observe temps while playing: gpu: ~50-60° cpu: 60-70°
memetest86 → full run of 13 test with 3 repetitions (standard?) with 0 errors
crystal disk → all disk seem healthy
sfc scan with 0 errors
stresstest for CPU and GPU which seem to be stable (more recommandations appreciated).
event history: crictal: unexpected system shutdown (ID:41) → me hardresetting i guess , error:ATKEX_cmd.exe and today OriginWebHelperService( ID1000)

My question is, what else can i do to find out what the problem is ? Or do i need to get a tool to measure the volts/watt or bring it to a technican ?
I[ICODE]m currently leaning towards faulty motherboard, because the gpu was really new. Otherwhise it could obviously be a faulty GPU or PSU. A friend recommended to buy a 700W PSU and check if it still happens, if not return it (and kinda abuse free return policy) - didn[/ICODE]t do that yet.

I`m really looking forward to your answers and gonna provide more infos as needed, thanks in advance !

PSU: 500W beQuiet Straight Power 10 (80+ Gold)

Sorry to hear that you are having computer problems but looking at the info in your OP the above is your problem, the minimum system power requirements for your add on video card are a good quality brand 700W PSU that can produce a minimum of 42 amps on the +12V rail, your 500W beQuiet Straight Power 10 falls well short of this and needs to be replaced, preferably with something like the one here that has a bit extra jice for your additional storage devices.

Golden rule when building a computer and especially one that has high end components such as yours, protect it by only using an equally high end PSU to service and protect it, the longer any warranty period the better, as a minimum 7yrs is good but 10yrs is much better.

Thank you for your fast Reply ! I[ICODE]m gonna order a high quality PSU with more juice as you put it after christmas and hope that this was the problem. A friend of mine who builds alot of PCs told me that my PSU would be sufficient as shown by some calculators and that the manufacturers just wanna be on the safe side and thats why they recommend more Watts (especially with just 80% efficiency)... But I[/ICODE]m gonna take your advice and buy a more powerful one as soon as I`m back.

Can I update this post if the new PSU is (for some reason) not solving the issue ?

At the risk of appearing disrespectful I have to say that you have been very badly advised, we volunteer our time for free here and so stand to gain nothing by advising you of what PSU is required and take it from me that you need a minimum of a 700W Gold efficiency rated quality brand PSU for that card, the proof is in the problems that you are experiencing, not to worry you but if your GPU has been damaged by using an incorrect spec PSU should you wish to return the card it will be tested and they will know what has caused any damage, remember, it is the manufacturer of the card that you would be expecting to refund your cash if you received faulty goods and not your friend who you say has built many PCs.

Just a fyi, 80+ is a trademark and any PSU that carries just the 80+ mark is not appropriate to use with anything more than an entry level desktop that only has integrated graphics or at most an add on card that requires no more than a 300W PSU and no supplemental power dingle from the PSU.

GPU manufacturers do overstate the power requirements of their products but not by 200W + there are plenty of ways of confirming a cards power requirements with one such an example here

Jeah not a problem, i see it myself in all the problems that he isn`t to trustworthy sadly, because he and i missed the 12V lane requirement (which results in a more capable PSU). I already ordered the PSU that you recommend, tho it is 850W and not 750W but that shouldnt be an issue (was like 5€ more)
I plan on testing with the new PSU if any old errors arrive.

Just so I`m understading it correctly, you recommend to bring the card to my vendor and tell them that i have been having issues with the card ? I guess i should not mention the 500W PSU… Do you have any idea how long that would take for them to check it ? I read about 1-2 weeks, that would be ok I guess.

I knew how much the card will require but in all calculations / calculators it never came close to 500W, thats why i believed my friend…

What I suggest you do until the new PSU arrives;

Completely remove the RX 5700 XT from the motherboard.

Hook your screen up to the appropriate video port on the motherboard.

Use the computer like this until the new PSU arrives, after swapping the PSU, refit the card into the MB, connect the two supplemental power dongles from the PSU to the GPU, reassemble and test.

The card itself only requires 225 Watts directly from the 700W PSU however it does require that the rest of the system be powered by the remainder of the wattage.

Use the computer as suggested above then post back with an update for us, you will not be able to do any high level gaming but the computer should at least run stable.

Do not contact the card manufacturer until you have tried the card with the new PSU, we will leave your thread marked as pending a reply until 28/12/20 so don`t worry about that.

Hey,
i got my RMX 850W PSU and now it seems to be working fine. I let my gf play a couple of hours of OW and played MW and RL myself without crashes. I`m really hoping that no crashes will occur in the future. For that I will likely install Windows 10 fresh to eliminate broken drivers or software issues.

Suggestion, create a new system restore point then forget about it and enjoy your gaming, reinstalling Windows is always a last resort and as the saying goes “if it aint broke, don`t fix it”
