PC sometimes black screens when playing games

Recently my PC has given me black screens when playing games.
I play the game normally, and then my screen goes black and the audio cuts off.
Sometimes the screen goes black and then comes back again, but with the screen having some glitchy-type? effect on it.
Note: PC runs normally if im just browsing the internet.
I’ve had this PC for over 2-3 years now. The problem first occurred a month ago after I cleaned some dust off the GPU fan after it got stuck.
I’m not that smart with computers so I decided to come here to ask for help.

You need a new PSU as the present one is 9 or 10 years old and was of poor quality even when out of the box new;

Sorry for not responding for a long time and bumping.
I guess as the PSU itself released 9-10 years ago I might need a new one.
But just a note, wouldn’t it be due to melting something?
When my GPU 2nd fan was stuck I didn’t know that so I just continued playing for like over 4 days after realising the crashes.
But at the same time I dont think it melted anything due to 1 fan still working.

We were not aware that one of the video cards cooing fans had completely failed as your OP only mentions that a fan got stuck

Is the problem fan still not working at all, now we know that a fan had not been working we need to look at that first, it is highly likely that the video card is overheating when under load.

I’ve already fixed the fan and both of my 2 fans on the GPU have been working now for a while now.

UPDATE
When I underclocked my GPU from the MSI Afterburner there were lesser black-screen crashes.
But instead of black-screen crashes it says my GPU had to reset. Maybe its my GPUs fault not PSU?

Welp, cant even do a single thing on my PC anymore. For now I think its done for..

Remove the add on video card from the MBs PCI-E slot completely, connect your screen to the appropriate video port on the MB, reassemble, test then post back with an update for us.

Sorry for that! I’ll keep in mind for future references. Anyway, my motherboard doesnt have the port for my screen, only the GPU has it.

You only have two options I[ICODE]m afraid, find a screen that has a port that is appropriate for one of the video ports on the MB and get yourself a good quality brand 750W PSU so that you can put the R9 video card back in and then test the card, the first option is the best option as depending on how long you have been using the old and 100W under powered PSU the R9 could be ruined, you don[/ICODE]t want to find this out after having purchased a new PSU.

What type of port does your screen have.
