With out know the specific model of the motherboard and CPU can not say. Different models can only handle certain CPU and RAM

@Chrigl99 your thread has been edited, if you also require help with OBS please ask in the software forums.

Let’s sort out your hardware issue here, and your software problem elsewhere. Hopefully that will get the best result for you?

Regarding your question about cpu’s, Generally an i7 processor with the same number as an i5 cpu will be “more powerful” for want of a bad term. To answer your question more correctly can you be more specific about what cpu’s you are considering, and also to what main use you wish to put them?

Here’s some info on a i5-2400 which is a very average socket 1155 cpu

      https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php...00+%40+3.10GHz

Also what do you mean by an “office mainboard” Is this a motherboard from an office computer? If so a more specific model of board would help, along with the “I don’t know” model of board. Sorry but to give you accurate help we will need you to help us a bit here with more info.

@Chrigl99 please no need to quote previous posts.

Of the two OLD motherboards you have listed the more modern of the two would be the Asus board. But that’s just one opinion.

You will have to be more specific with the i7 cpu please.
