Hope you can help!
I work in a well known NHS hospital…and one of our PC’s has died, which is attached to a very important piece of equipment. The manufacturer has quoted £800 just to come out to look at the PC, let alone parts etc, and I feel may be a fairly easy fix/part replacement. Our IT wont touch it as its not theirs.
Simply put, this equipment was not used for 6 months, and now when I try and turn it on it cant start properly. The fans spin for a couple of seconds then it cuts out. Ive noticed a red light flashing on the motherboard (not too far from the RAM), which appears, often when cutting out.
I’ve looked online and followed instructions; moved RAM around, checked all power cables/plugs, with no success. However, earlier I was prodding/poking things and afterwards it turned on for at least 5 minutes! - as I had it on a desk with nothing else attached, I turned it off, plugged it into everything to see if its working… and sods law its now back to where it was before not starting. Tried opening it up again and prodding about again with no luck.
Am I being stupid? Anyone have experience with this/any suggestions of how to fix? (Pics attached, one with Red light on)
Not the exact model (not on chassis) but the PC is very similar to this SENYO 820 PC: https://nl.hardware.info/product/419...c-senyo-820-pc
