pc dont turn on

Hi. One day i tryed to turn my pc on. I cant see nothing on my screen. There is a power in it(leds and fans are working). I try to connect the hdmi cable direct to my motherboard to see if the problem is still there, but it is still there. I try another Monitor and nothing. I bought a pci tester with a 4 digit led Monitor. The error apears to be 2A24. I Google it and and it was the RAM. I try to change the places of the RAM and with only a single RAM on. The error it is still there. I buy a new RAM and nothing. I tryed to reconnect all the cables on motherboard, i disconnect everything and i try again. The POST code on pci tester is the same 2A24. I dont know what else to do.

Cpu:AMD
Motherboard : biostar
Power supply 400W

This suggests that you have an add on video card (GPU) if yes, did you remove the card from the MB when you tried the HDMI port on the MB.

Please provide the exact model name or number for the CPU, GPU, MB, PSU and RAM so that we can do some research, some MBs for example use video provided by the CPU, not all CPUs have this but are still compatible with MBs that have such video ports, the ports though will not work.

Thanks for the additional info but can I ask that you answer all questions that are asked, did you remove the add on GPU when trying the MBs video port** and what is the actual brand name of the PSU, hm w2-23/400w doesn`t bring up anything particular on Google.

The MB does have onboard video but unfortunately it relies on the RAM that is inserted in the MB to function, bad memory or bad memory slots will result in no video signal and as you have tried new RAM it looks to be a problem with the memory slots on the MB rather than the RAM itself.

** Just a fyi, checked your MB specs here and it does not appear to have a HDMI port only DVI or VGA. so if you happen to be using some sort of adaptor check it as it may be faulty.

No worries, it`s an easy mistake to make if you have not had to do this type of troubleshooting before.

Glad you got it sorted and thank you for the follow up (y)

Any other questions or should we mark your thread as having been answered.
