Has this been done.

    There are a whole load of errors listed in MTB and some of them are password related - is all of the software in use on your computer legally obtained.

When I look at the drive properties, it does not say there is an issue and that the drivers are up to date.
    The drive plays DVD type disk/s without issue and the issue is still present after using a system restore point, this would normally suggest a hardware issue such as a failed lens on the BR device itself but we are seeing security warnings in your MTB log that suggest that AVG has a problem with the password manager that you are using.

      Hello again,

      As far as I am aware, I have obtained all my software legally with keys and everything.

      I swapped out the optical drive with a brand new one and it seems to have the same issue. Would you suggest I update windows 10 fully and remove AVG?

      Thanks

        AVG was once one of the best AVs available but it fell out of favour when it became a resource hog, you do not need it when running Windows 10 as is explained below in my canned info;

        Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 come with an improved Windows Defender, it offers the same real-time anti-virus/anti-malware protection as Microsoft Security Essentials. Windows Defender also shares the same malware signature definitions as Microsoft Security Essentials, and Forefront Endpoint Protection. Technically, Microsoft Security Essentials has not been renamed Windows Defender, or combined with it in Windows 8, 8.1 and 10.

        Having more than one AV installed on your computer is bad, it will slow down the computer, cause internet connection problems and leave you with no AV protection at all if they cancel each other out as they fight for resources.

        If any AV product that you have is a paid for version you should always make sure that you have a copy of the product key kept somewhere safe just in case you ever wish to reinstall it.

        How to uninstall AVG here Please create a new system restore point first.

        Once any other AV has been correctly uninstalled, check to see if Windows Defender has auto enabled and allow it to update and carry out a full scan of your computer.

        For you to do/in addition to uninstalling AVG, as was previously suggested in my reply #13, get Windows fully up to date, run Speccy again and post the updated url for us if you will.

            Can I ask that you do not quote every reply, it really does not help and just makes for unnecessary reading, thanks.

            Still seeing AVG in Speccy and there is a major Windows update in progress, both suggest that you have not followed the steps suggested in my reply #18 which included checking to see if Windows Defender has auto enabled and allowing it to update and carry out a full scan of your computer.
