    GTX1060

    Hi,

I wonder if you can help me. I’m just looking at the HP offerings (see my other thread below) and at least they specify 2*8 for the memory. But the GTX1060 has 3 Gb GDDR5. The Dell has 6, so I guess that’s better. What do you thnk should be the minimum I should go for?

    Thanks

The GTX1060 specified by HP has 3 gb whereas the Dell version has 6 gb. Is this a major difference that should concern me?

6GB is obviously better than 3GB when it comes to storage capacity but not always when it comes to VRAM, both GPUs are in brand name computers so will be OEM devices which again can affect their performance, if you have a link to both computers it would help as one of us could check the specs.

Both cards perform the same so the only benefit is the additional 3GB of VRAM, having this is beneficial when using multiple screens and/or using two or more large screens such as 42" TVs.
