Hello, i recently bought a used pc and it has been working fine until yesterday when i started it and i doesnt detect my SSD. I have tried the SSD on another computer and it detected it, i have also switched cables so that isn´t the problem. I´m guessing it has something to do with the modercard?
As the SSD is detected on another computer but is not on your computer it suggests that as you suspected the problem is with your MB.
You mention trying other SATA cables but not the other SATA ports on the MB so if not done already give that a go.
Long shot if the above doesn`t help, try removing the MBs CMOS battery and leaving it out for five minutes or so and then replace it, this will clear any bad settings in the BIOS that may be causing the problem.
What version of Windows is on the SSD and do you have it on disk or a USB thumbdrive, alternatively do you have access to another computer, internet connection and a spare USB thumbdrive (4GB for Windows 7, 8GB for Windows 10).
