I have this really terrible cpu that makes my gameplay terrible because it can’t keep up with my gpu (gtx 1060). The cpu I have is an AMD a8 7650k and I don’t know which other cpu will fit into my pc so i’m Scared to make the purchase and switch it out for a new Ryzen cpu or something. Please can somebody help. If your wondering what motherboard I have (it’s also trash) it is a gigabyte F2A68HM-HD2.
that mobo supports AMD FM2+/FM2 A-series APU’s.
but being the age they are, you may have trouble getting your hands on some, for example, the store I get my gear from no longer stocks FM2’s.
so now you’re potentially looking at a new mobo and CPU, which would probably then force you to upgrade the RAM.
but hey, the GTX should still be usable.

Ok it’s just the pc I got game with windows 10 and I don’t know if that will get deleted. Plus I’m quite scared to make a decision on what mobo and cpu to buy because I don’t know if they will be compatible with my other specs. I could send you my specs if you want?
get Speccy from here; Speccy - Download Builds
in Speccy, click File > Publish Snapshot > Copy to Clipboard > Close.
now you can paste(Ctrl+V) that link into a post.

you don’t have a SSD, just the Seagate 1TB hard drive.
now you have to decide whether you want to track down a FM2 CPU better than the one you currently have or replace the motherboard in order to get a better, current gen, CPU.
most new mobo’s are DDR4, so you’ll be looking at new RAM as well.
so your first decision will be - upgrade current rig with new parts, or buy new PC.

Ok I found this page that lists all FM2+ socket compatible cpu’s but I don’t know if any of them are even worth the upgrade. The link to the website is http://www.cpu-world.com/Sockets/Socket_FM2_.html . If you find that it’s not worth upgrading to any of those. Then I will go down the route of buying a new mobo, cpu and ram.
