    Something wrong with gpu?

So I’m in a little dilemma here. I have an i7 8700, zotac 1080 ti and 16 gb of corsair vengeance. Got a fresh install of far cry 5 and bf4, when I’m ingame it auto selects bf4 to 1080p medium settings. Far cry 5 to 1080p low settings. If I change anything like go to 1440p or up the settings the games crash. I can still playing world of tanks at 4k all maxed and works perfectly fine. Latest nvidia driver. Using a Samsung 6qf 49in 4k TV if that matters much. It does cap at 30 hz so I’m going to swap soon.

          sorry , not a gamer.
back in the days when my son was and I’d have to fork out for a new graphics card whenever he got a new game, I do remember it was not unusla for a new game to already have patches to install, separate to what was on the install DVD - so check that if you haven’t already.

            Hi,

What power supply does your computer have? Are you overclocking any components?

Try performing a clean boot in Windows and see if the same behavior occurs.

Rm750x nothing is overclocked. Ended up changing back to previous 4k TV which can do 60 Hertz. This one is advertised as “gaming tv” yet does only 30 hz. Looks great in living room though for regular tv

So after changing display’s do the games still crash when you adjust the games settings?

Out of town for work should be back in 2 weeks but Bf4 still crashed. Played fc5 once before I left and worked fine.
