      So sorry, I’ve had trouble finding time to run these tests as i’ve had to run my pc overnight at times, I did however just discover its an issue with the 2nd stick, I’ll attach all logs and etc below. (there was a sh*t ton of errors)

      The html file memtest saved isnt allowed to be uploaded here? So i took a screenshot and uploaded that ‘memtest report html file.png’.
      The other two attached images are two I took with my phone as I was worried the reports might not save as it said ‘aborted’

      Would this be enough evidence or otherwise to perhaps get a refund or replacement of the memory stick?

        Did you get errors when testing the suspected bad stick of RAM in more than one slot, odd as it may seem but some slots will have a problem with a stick of RAM that is perfectly fine with three other slots.

          Turns out you were right Stick #2 has no erors in slot 1. when I have another 2 and a half hours spare ill test stick 1 in slot 3 to see if it something wrong with the motherboard.

          Edit: Pc just blackscreened after the kernel power thing again, only had one stick in a slot with no errors. Could the power loss be caused by a faulty motherboard?

          Edit 2:
          Stick 1 has been tested in only slot 1 with no errors,
          Stick 2 has been tested in all slots 1 and 4 had no errors but slots 2 and 3 both had errors in ‘Test 6 [Block move, 64-byte blocks]’

                Pc just Bluescreened with a new error pfn_list_corrupt

                Side note: only 1 more slot I have to test a ram stick in I’ll send you the results tomorrow

                Edit: Stick 1 has zero issues in all slots and stick 2 has issues in slots 2 and 3, you can find the log files attached somewhere in this thread as I am currently not at my pc.

                  Bad RAM or storage device, being that you know that there are problems with the RAM makes the storage device less likely as the cause.

                  Looks like an RMA for the RAM (if they will take it back) but before you do you should try running the computer for a day or so while having just the known good stick of RAM populating a slot on the MB, even if all ok you should consider returning both sticks.

                    Going away for a couple days will be back on Wednesday, I’ll try return the stick when I get back but I dont understand why/if they would take back the 2nd stick if there are no problems with it.

                      If you purchased the two sticks at the same time you should be able to return them both, it is a well known fact that RAM is best purchased as a matching kit when using multiple sticks.

                      Have you managed to be able to run the computer with just the one stick fitted.

                        Pc running fine so far,
                        Also the sticks were purchased separately but only one is under warranty, how can I tell which one?

                          Some good news at least then.

                          Closest way that I can think of possibly checking which stick is under warranty would be to run Speccy with only the one stick in the board, see what date comes up when you check each stick separately and make a note of which one is which, looking at your previous Speccy report the stick in slot two was the newer of the two which may suggest that it is the one most likely under warranty, the info that I have highlighted in blue is how the merchant may check whether or not the RAM was purchased from them.

                            Thanks for your help but the guys at the store have run it for sometime with over 18 passes or something he said and zero errors occurred. So I’m assuming this leaves it down to the motherboard? However the store I bought it from was PCCG and their warranty/return system seems odd how am I going to provide evidence as to the motherboard’s fault?

                                Got a very generic response
                                "Sorry to hear there has been an issue with your motherboard! We’re happy to get this board back in to test for you. So we can organise this please apply for a warranty in your account by clicking on “My Account”, followed by “Warranty and Returns” and fill out the “Request Warranty” application form. We will then issue you an RA number to return this to us, and instructions on how to proceed from there. "
                                Really dunno about sending the motherboard back to them as that would mean I wouldn’t have a pc for multiple days, I figure it may just be easier if I was to purchase and test a new stick of ram.
