Recover data from old hard drive

Im trying to recover data from an old hard drive from a pc thats failed. The hard drive was the primary drive with the OS etc on it.

How can I go about recoving the data? Ive tried a few software programs like Stellar but they cant find anything.

You could try a version of Linux to see if that sees the information on the drive if you are trying to retrieve the information.

What version of OS is on the HDD that you are trying to read and what version of windows are you using.

While in Drive Manager (if not retrieving data) have you tried to format the drive?

CrystalDiskInfo 7.8.0
Will give us some basic information on the SMART and health of the drive.
Download the ZIP and uncompressed then run.
Post a screen shot in your next post. Make sure to select the drive.
