BTX Motherboard

I have the HP Compaq 6005 Pro MT PC Micro Tower which has a BTX (mounts on the left
side of the case) mainboard (Mainboard Model 3047h) Processor (AMD Phenom II X4 B97 Processor
Speed 3.19GHz).
I am looking for a different BTX motherboard to fit in the PC Micro Tower which
will support a faster CPU. I have checked several places with no luck (BTX being
the problem).

Does anybody have any suggestions (yes, I know it is an old system but I want to
upgrade it and overclock it if possible)

You’ll find it pretty difficult to upgrade anything in a branded PC. The size and shape is pretty proprietary to the brand’s in-house parts.

If you’re thinking about upgrading the motherboard and CPU, you might as well buy a new small-factor case too, and migrate the existing HDD and RAM to the new build. You may or may not need a new PSU with this move.

BTX boards are not made anymore. They only lasted 2 years. You’re not in luck I’m afraid

I found out after much research that Intel made some BTX motherboards. Trying to check if they can be upgraded or if they can be overclocked, or if the BIOS
can be upgraded to accomplish this.

but found several ATX (I bought the wrong computer)
