CPU only using 3 outta 6 cores

Since my old cpu died i had to come back to my old cpu which is a fx 6300 and its a 6 core processor and ive been noticing that my frames are way worse now then they were back in the day when i used then i went to task manager to see that it says my cpu only has/using 3 cores any help?

Hi noahnoda. If you boot into your computers BIOS, what does your motherboards BIOS report for the CPU?

The FX series were not actual 4, 6, or 8 core CPU’s. Did Windows 10 report the FX 6300 as a 6 core chip before?

Then your CPU is showing up correctly and I wouldn’t worry about what Task Manager says.
