Looks like you are going to need to try and borrow an appropriately powered PSU for testing purposes, if the problem persists after doing this you are either looking at hardware damaged by being subjected to high temps over a period of time or a flaky MB, sorry to say that looking at the reviews for the board it would be no surprise if the board was bad.
Well I’m not sure where I would be able to find a different PSU to test and I’ve definitely had my fair share of annoyances with the board so I don’t doubt that could be the issue. I’m basically stuck at 2933 MHz to get the ram stable and auto boost instead of setting an overclock because it just doesn’t work manually but I’m fine with all that now. I was thinking of upgrading my GPU anyway since 3GB is really hurting right now. Playing the Black Ops 4 beta I’m seeing 5 GB+ of ram usage, presumably because my vram is maxing out. I tuned down my overclock on my GPU and it seems to be more stable, I was running it at 2+ GHz for over a year and the temps were always 70’s max and now it’s sitting at 2 GHz and seems to be running well.
Well I did do that load optimized defaults, guess I just forgot about the GPU. I guess at the very least because of that it eliminates my CPU and ram but could that still be a motherboard issue.
Looking at the reviews someone mentioned a bad sound card. Could that be the issue with my stuttering when the sound freaks for about 1/5th of a second?
Looking online I see several sources saying PSU’s should be good for around 5 years, is there anything that I could have done to cause it to fail or is it possible that something just went wrong.

PSUs have a failsafe that shut down your PC if you are stressing/overpowering it, so I doubt you did anything wrong. I would chalk up your issue to “technology is technology”. You never know when it’ll stop working, but when it does, you just replace it.
my psu is an evga 850 supernova g2, have had it for at least 3 years probably (maybe that’s starting to give cause it’s old?). i
That PSU has a 10 year warranty, as long as it has been installed and used correctly, see 2014 review here the warranty period is mentioned third line, second paragraph.
Before purchasing any new parts I would suggest that you ask a local tech store if they could take a look at your system, ask what it would cost first though, they may charge a small fee - they may do it for free but they will have parts available to swap in for testing purposes.
I cant reproduce the freezes and sometimes it goes over a day without happening
Difficult one for you this as you could replace the GPU, still get the problem, replace the PSU but again still get the problem.
Long shot but do you happen to know anyone that has a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) that you could borrow, being that it happens randomly the cause could be your domestic power supply spiking, connecting a UPS would keep the power going to the PC stable.
Other than the above I can only think of trying to borrow an add on video card or have yours tested in a friends computer for a day or two.
