Hello, I’m thinking of upgrading my desktop ram, but I’m not sure how it works. I currently have two Vengeance lpx ddr4 8GB (16GB ) ram sticks, so can i just buy another two similar sticks to upgrade my ram to 32GB?
Unless you can utilize the extra Ram, then it’s a waste of your Dollars.
I do the heaviest Photoshop Edits up to 40 layers, and never needed more than 16 GIGS.

I mean, my ram usage maxes when playing ArmA, as the game is so poorly optimized. The question is, will the upgrade process work as I think or is there some quirk to it?
I would be looking at the GPU ram first. You need a Graphics card with high dedicated Ram.
The higher GPU Graphics Ram the better.
What are your Computer specs?
